Building safety starts from within: FCIA members drive protection standards in the Kingdom

In light of the massive urban transformation the Kingdom is witnessing as part of Vision 2030, the importance of implementing the highest safety standards in buildings and facilities is highlighted. This is where the Firestop Contractors International Association (FCIA) members come in, representing a select group of companies specializing in fire protection systems and structural insulation effectiveness around the world.

Since its founding in 1999, FCIA has strived to ensure the reliability of firestopping systems through its integrated program known as DIIM, which combines design, installation, inspection, and maintenance. FCIA members in Saudi Arabia actively participate in this field through companies such as Suez Thermal Insulation, Essam Kabbani & Partners, and Sky Specialized, offering specialized engineering solutions in insulation, passive fire protection, and concrete treatments. These companies contribute to supporting the Saudi construction sector by implementing FM 4991 and UL Solutions standards, ensuring the safety of structures and enhancing the efficiency of infrastructure and industrial projects. Members also participate in training programs and conferences organized by FCIA globally to enhance local expertise and stay abreast of the latest innovations in protection systems.

These integrated efforts enhance public safety and property protection, and align with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030 to raise quality of life and improve the built environment through sustainable and safe solutions. With the expansion of mega projects in Riyadh, Jeddah, and the Eastern Province, FCIA members continue to play a vital role in building a safe future according to international standards.
